Rebecca was in the UK when she first contacted Education Personnel. Once she registered with Education Personnel all her paperwork was completed so that when she arrived in Wellington she was out teaching within a week. |

Becky with fingers crossed, heading out to her first day relief (supply) teaching! |
“I
moved to Wellington from the UK in June and started teaching day relief
through Education Personnel a week later, having been in contact with
them before arriving. They were so supportive, suggesting where
to live , providing great transport links and helping with the
registration process. The consultants have been teachers
themselves so they could answer any questions I had with great clarity. I was initimidated about finding a different school every morning initially but you will find yourself being called back tor the same schools and developing great relationsihps with the permanent staff and the children. Furthermore, Wellington is quite compact and therefore getting around is relatively easy. |

Of course one of the benefits of teaching are the holidays and I have kept myself busy at weekends and during the breaks. You can be on the slopes or whale watching in a few hours and the city itself is packed full of activities. I have found myself excited to go into work in the mornings as everyday is so different and I'm always learning something new. Working for Education Personnel is a superb experience. They made my move over to New Zealand easy and I would highly recommend them to other teachers looking for work in Wellington. Rebecca Denning |
